It’s the final countdown! (With apologies to the Swedish rock band Europe.) In our third Power Rankings of the 2026 Olympic men’s hockey tournament, Canada holds on to top spot with its heart-stopping 4-3 quarter-final win over the Czechs in overtime. The Americans are still second after pulling off a 2-1 sudden-death win over Sweden. And the Slovaks, who romped 6-2 over Germany, retain third place. Can the Finns keep their title defence hopes alive with a semi-final upset over Canada? Could Slovakia surprise America? Are we bound for the first all-North American Olympic final since 2010 in Vancouver? Those are just a few of the burning questions that we’re contemplating. It’s time to get pumped for the Olympic semi-finals in Milan!
