The Disciplinary Panel for the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World U20 Championship Division III Group B has issued an official warning to Hong Kong, China forward Pit Hing Zheng for violating IIHF Official Playing Rule 48 – illegal check to the head or neck.
The incident occurred at 55:08 (15:08 into the third period) in Game #5 of the tournament between Hong Kong, China and Iran on Monday, 19 January 2026.
While Zheng will not be punished further for this incident, the Disciplinary Panel notes that, according to IIHF Disciplinary Regulations Article 9.3.b, this warning could be an aggravating factor against the player for any future violation.
