The 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division IIB Disciplinary Panel has issued a one (1) game suspension to Team Israel player KAZINETS, Shon (number 4) for a violation of Official Playing Rule 49 (Kicking).
The incident occurred during Game number 11 between Australia and Israel on 22 January 2026.
The Disciplinary Panel found that the player, while lying on his back, lifted his leg off the ice and made an upwards kicking motion directed at an opposing player. Whether careless of intentional, the use of the skate in a kicking action is extremely dangerous, with a high risk of injury to the opposing player. Players must be aware of the position of opponents at all times and avoid both careless and intentional plays that could cause serious injury.
Therefore, as the Player violated Official Playing Rule 49 – Kicking, he shall be sanctioned as follows:
