More than 300,000 tickets have already been sold for the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Switzerland. Fans can look forward to a major ice hockey celebration in the arenas and the Official Fan Zones.
For the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, which will take place from 15 to 31 May 2026 in the modern arenas in Zurich and Fribourg, over 300,000 tickets have already been sold. Ticket sales are therefore very encouraging and show that fans are eagerly anticipating a major ice hockey celebration in Zurich and Fribourg.
Around one third of the tickets sold are for games in Fribourg and two thirds for games in Zurich.
Only a limited number of tickets remain for the final round games, the opening day, selected top games in Fribourg and the Swiss team’s game days. Tickets are still available for all other games.
Ticket sales for the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship are being released in stages: the official sales launch with Game Day Packages began in September 2025. Since early February 2026, Single Game Tickets have been available. Additional ticket releases for Single Game Tickets and Game Day Packages may be released on an ongoing basis up until the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship. It is therefore recommended to visit the official sales channel regularly and subscribe to the ticket alert so as not to miss any purchasing opportunities.
Sales of the hospitality packages have also been successful so far. Only a limited number of hospitality packages remain for the Swiss team’s game days.
