The 2025 IIHF Championship Disciplinary Panel for the 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, Division III Group A, has issued a one-game suspension to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Vasilije Vucinic for boarding.
The incident occurred at 55:00 (15:00 of the third period) during Game #8 between Kyrgyzstan and Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 24 April 2025, in which Vucinic received a major and game misconduct penalty for boarding.
The Championship Disciplinary Panel determined that Vucinic and a Kyrgyzstan player were racing after a loose puck. Vucinic made contact from behind while the Kyrgyzstan player was in a vulnerable position and did not have the puck. The Kyrgyzstan player was knocked into the boards dangerously while unable to protect himself. As a result, Vucinic’s actions constitute a violation of Official Playing Rule 41.
